So I had this idea for a bit and can finally share as the gift recipient has received their gift. I used photo geometry (Which required me to shave my leg) to create a 3d model of my leg (ran into some issues and had to mix up the model with another Christmas story model by jv_656 on thingiverse) then 3d printed it, glued it up and sanded it smooth before painting it. Then it was the task of adding leg hairs and the fish next and building a lamp out of it.
probably one of the weirdest things I have built but as dumb as it is I am proud of it, the challenges it forced me to overcome, and a good excuse to film another build video.
The fact that the leg is hairy makes it all the more hilarious. Well done.

I was going to till I saw the shipping quote and scared me so much I saw the ghost of christmas shipping.
if you gotta ship something large check out greyhound shipping if youre in the us and you and the recipient have a depot close by. they gotta pick it up at the depot, but theres zero chance it gets stolen by porch pirates that way and is only a fraction of the price.i love the lamp too. i always wanted to do one but never put in the effort. well done

haha no that might have been going to far. I used a wig and cut pieces off. The hair was the hardest part trying to find the solution to attach it. I go over it and the whole build process including the 3d model and printing in a youtube video I just posted as I could finally share it (didn't want my friend seeing it and know what was coming).
Ahhh I shouldn't have read the comments.. using your own hair would have been the icing on the cake lol. I thought that's what you did when you said you had to shave your leg anyways.

Yeah trying to find a lampshade that match was tough I got lucky finding a good base to use and make one
