Unfortunately, it's the only place I can find certain things. And yeah, it's annoying when I buy a 10-pack of something and when I get it there are only 8 in there because someone else bought the 10-pack, took out 2 items, then returned it.
There have been a few times where I get a multipack of something and a few are missing so the company gave a 50% refund instead of a return. Usually I only accept it for things where I don't have to worry about the items being used (like individually sealed within the main package).
They only offer that because it saves them money shipping it back and having an underpaid human spend time on it. And it gets them out of their mistake while still making money.
Yeah but it also saves you money vs rebuying it and potentially getting another opened return. Sometimes you can talk them into a higher discount too, I had one company get annoyed by my "negotiating" and just gave a full refund with no return lol.
Secret tip, if this happens again just go to support and use phrases like "Amazon's guarantee" "unacceptable", tell them no, and "speak to a supervisor". Yes, its a waste of time but ive gotten money back from every delivery of used or depleted items doing this.
You can order Sunlu from their website and they’ll ship it to you from one of their U.S. warehouses in just a few days.
They also usually have more color options on their website than they do on Amazon. You can get some (maybe all?) of the Bambu colors as well on their site.
Absolutely not the case that there are more colors on the Sunlu site directly.
Don’t get me wrong, I do try and buy direct from them when I can, but it is often the case (especially on sale days) that many colors are out of stock.
Most notably oak recently. I’ve been making gingerbread house kits that I’ve been selling (my own design) and I had to order from Amazon because the oak color was unavailable from Sunlu directly.
Well let me rephrase, more may not be the correct word then, but there are plenty of colors available from Sunlu directly that are not available on Amazon.
I have ordered direct from sunlu site, official sunlu on eBay, and official sunlu on AliExpress. All came from the same warehouse in oh/ky. Find the place with the best price as long is it the official store.
I've been doing almost all my online shopping on there for the past decade and never got scammed or had shit like this happen. It's pretty safe these days, at least if you order from commercial sellers.
I havw never had anything missing from in aliexpress order, the product is identical, and when something goes lost in shipping (happens rarely, but I order a lot of stuff there) they will refund even if you don't open a case, just based on the tracking data saying it got lost.
AliExpress has been giving me better servics at better prices than many more local suppliers for a while now
Amazon is 100% not good for price competition. They actively and aggressively lower prices to kill competition so they can then price gouge as a monopoly.
I avoid Amazon as much as possible but now even standalone companies are fulfilling through them. Somewhat frustrating to buy direct from a vendor just to get an Amazon tracking number.
Yeah I've run into that. It's bullshit that they don't tell you ahead of time. It's not actually possible to completely divest from Amazon unless you start z new live as a hermit
This culture of "returning" stuff should be stoped at all costs. People are way to comfortable ans scummy. If people.chose more carefuly what they want there would be like 30% less trafic with planes and ships.
Return under the, not as described. Indicate that the spool only had ~400g of filament on it, when it's a 1kg order.
FWIW, if I get one that feels light in the box. I will put it on a scale and send it back w/o opening it if it doesn't weight at least 1.1kg (that's as light as it's going to be with a spool + box) refill I might let it go as low as 1.03kg as it doesn't have a spool. I've only had to return one box, but there's no argument when it's never been opened.
A friend of mine actually manages Amazon warehouses. Well, he used to. Now he is in charge of getting new ones up and running. I was very surprised to learn from him that they are implementing new return fraud procedures to address this stuff. If you return something other than what you bought, your name gets put on a list and they will just outright ban you if your do it more. Amazon knows there is fraud and they track whether the item you purchased was returned from someone else before being sent to you. You aren't likely to face issues if you return something that was previously bought from someone else and returned if you indicate it was either defective or not as advertised.
This is on Amazon for reselling a return as it doesn't even have a vacuum wrap on it, not sunlu. Request a refund with Amazon
OP implying it's this way "from Sunlu".
No, it's "from Amazon" 'cause they DGAF.
Yea! What they said. This is on Amazon or an Amazon seller. Sunlu makes great, reliable, and consistent product.
Change the header and sub. Its in the wrong place. r/mildlyinfuriating
Like others are saying, it’s Amazon’s fault. Just file a return and you’re good.
People really need to stop buying from Amazon. That entire company is a cancer.

You can try Ali Express but I don't think you will have a better experience.
at least when it shows up all wrong i cant be mad about it lol.
Lol, I guess I was wrong. The people disagree with me.
What filament store do you recommend in its place? Amazon carries pretty much everything so its an easy place to visit.

Ebay.

Hatchbox, atomic filament, polymaker, sunlu directly, there are tons of options.
Lots of manufacturers will sell directly from their website not just 3d printing supplies
Nah.
Is AliExpress better? Because my flashforge printers and filament purchased from there have been delitby Amazon
Flashforge has a sale on filament from. Their site. I just got 4 rolls of it delivered today.

Yeah fat chance bro. I don't even have a Walmart where I live not that Walmart even sells filament.
2-day shipping, incredibly easy returns.
"entire company is cancer"
Ah, yes. The entire world is either black or white. One or the other. Good or evil. This is a very good perspective to have in life.
i mean name 3 good things amazon as a whole is considered good for the world
Product accessibility
Price competition
Lower barrier to entry for e commerce sellers
Amazon is 100% not good for price competition. They actively and aggressively lower prices to kill competition so they can then price gouge as a monopoly.
If Amazon was a shade of gray, Anish Kapoor would be the only person allowed to use it.
I avoid Amazon as much as possible but now even standalone companies are fulfilling through them. Somewhat frustrating to buy direct from a vendor just to get an Amazon tracking number.

Welcome to buying filament on Amazon, I'd return or claim missing item from order so that they don't end up selling this to a different person.
delivery guy had to print something fast and he did what he had to do
He needed a stand for his handheld scanner.
From sunlu or from Amazon. THATS the question
Post your invoice. Dollar to do it's it isn't from Sunlu.
love Amazon
I don’t see the problem. The picture on the clearly shows an empty spool, and you got more than none.
This culture of "returning" stuff should be stoped at all costs. People are way to comfortable ans scummy. If people.chose more carefuly what they want there would be like 30% less trafic with planes and ships.
This is the inflation-adjusted quantity.
dont give companies ideas!
I bought 12 from them on sale, no issues
I bought a roll of wood fiber filament from a local auction house that primary carries Amazon returns.
Inside wasn’t a roll of filament but it was jammed full of failed wood fiber prints.
Oh, I thought you were talking about getting one of the third generation sunlu spools.
I been ordering sunlu on ebay just cause I've had this happen before.
Weight?
Definitely not 1kg
From the pictures, it doesnt say 1 kg anwhere? Did it on the site you bought from?
Edit: on the packaging.

Yup, you got robbed, sorry :(
