All nations undergo ethnogenesis, if the Turkish language and culture are preserved as a result of this ethnogenesis, then of course we are Turks. I'm tired of the genetics issue being discussed only in relation to Turkish people, all the modern nations are mixed. We can still fully understand a Turkish poem written in the 13th century, do we need to still ride horses to be considered Turkic? And there is no difference between Turkic and Turkish in Turkish. That entirely depends on your own traditions in family. It's all inseparably mixed anyway so you will get some that and some of this.
