When multiple hits are resolving in the same tick, a tick eat will only offset lethal damage from the first registered hit in the queue. That's why you see folks doing things like redemption and p neck damage stalling in certain pieces of content instead.
Assuming all 3 splats registered on the same tick and assuming your HP is level 99, there are two scenarios where you could survive:
1) You could tick eat it with an overheal, like a brew or angler, if you were close to full hp as the total damage amount is only 109;
or,
2) if the first or second hit would place your HP at redemption, pneck, or ring of life proc range, those effects would trigger and clear the remaining damage in the queue.
I know this is a meme post, but nobody else answered, so there you go!
It only negates deadly damage in that tick, like the comment explained in more detail a phoenix necklace/ring of life usually negates a hit or 2 if they come in at the same tick and would be deadly.
It used to work with some forced emotes from items as well but thats been patched since it enabled cheating in pvp based scenarios
Teleports also stall whatever damage you take while performing them (except home teleport or delayed damage)
Stalls work as like extending the window that you can capture damage to null. It makes it less precise in the way you have to null damage and gives you more value from the object that’s doing the ccq like pneck. Phoenix necklace and redemption both have this property that people refer to as ccq, or clear combat queue. It’s the same idea as going up a ladder or teleporting away that nulls an npc’s damage or in some case player damage. Essentially ccq is like “Hey everything combat related applied to the player on this tick is deleted”. Ccq gets ran in certain instances too which is why you see some people double death at stuff like araxxor and hydra and regen back to 1hp since death is a queued action once you reach 0hp.
Picking up a hot rock cake, interacting with the pet rock, skill cape emotes, spellbook swap, and some niche items like book of egg or crate ring are all popular stalls. A really good example of ccq/stalling is Kirby skip at tightrope in cms. Hp regen tick eats the rope mobs while you cross and redemption clears the queue for first cross. Phoenix necklace clears the queue on the way back. The act of crossing the tightrope is the stall that captures all the damage on 1 tick.
All healing is resolved at once. So combo eating a second piece of food doesn't automatically offset lethal damage from the second hitsplat, if that's what you're asking.
But if you were at, say, 75 hp, comboing a shark + brew would actually save you here as it would put your hp above 109.
It's worth noting that if you were at full health and tried to shark + brew combo eat you would only benefit from the brew. You can't use hard foods to tick eat from full hp as the game will waste the food and heal you for 0.
do you know if non-food heals like bloodfury or blood barrage put all healing behind damage in the queue for that tick?
also just to clarify with your wording; is a tick eat "offsetting" lethal damage or is it just that the incoming damage is capped by the hp you had on the previous tick, meaning you can do things like tick eat a reflected scythe swing at xarpus if your hp is <=7 (since the 3 reflected hits will hit 7 each, and a brew can heal for 16, bringing your hp to 23 before the 3x7 damage is applied)?
I don't know the answer to your first question, sorry. Although I would personally suspect these forms of healing to be behind the damage in the queue. I feel like I've never tick ate lethal damage with blood barrage and I know that I've seen my character die with a positive HP value generated from blood fury heals but that's just a subjective response.
Your second point about damage per hitsplat being capped at your current HP is correct. That's how it works, unless you are fighting an npc that can overhit your HP value, like Zuk or Doom. So, in your example with xarpus, if you were to tick eat with a single purple sweet, you would survive the first hit in the queue but die to the second (effectively "offsetting" lethal from the first hit, is all I meant in the explanation above).
I could be completely incorrect and misremembering how tick eating works, but I believe so?
The total damage is 109, I believe as long as you could use something that'd overheal greater than that it should work? Like if you were 99 HP and used a brew I believe you could tick eat it?
If I remember it right the way tick eating works is basically just eating on the same tick as the damage, but the damage is calculated based off your HP before connecting, so as long as you can gain HP it should be possible, which in this case a brew at 99 HP would do.

Would combo eating help? Or would all of the healing be resolved at the same time
If you heal over 109hp by it, it would help. If not you need a stall as described by the helpful person above, phoenix neck, ring of life and such
How does stalling work? I’m not really familiar with that aspect of the game

I really hope this was helpful in any way

how does this even happen?
Well you first need to enter the chambers of xeric
done that about 1,000 times and never had this happen to me 🤣
Don’t pray, tank everything. lol
"Tank"
I tanked a train once, the worst part is the dying thing
While using a locator orb?
Overload
Ah that would do it lol
Only thing i can think of is double crystal+olm attack off pray
prayer orb attack, falling crystal, and olm attack off prayer
Play with someone who has no idea what they are doing, get teleported from full distance and off prayer hit with range while overloading
Flame wall is the 59 Crystal is the 10 The 40 I’m not sure about, maybe an auto attack on high scale?
I was thinking the 59 might be prayer orb, since 59 x 2 = 118 (max hp + brew overheal). Flame wall could definitely be the culprit though.
If they had 118 hp they wouldn’t have died. Hits add up to 109.
Most likely a flame wall, floor crystal, and autoattack combo
The prayer being off made me think a prayer orb had to be involved, but yeah, 109 stack says otherwise.
Isnt it the crystal blowing up in the picture 1 tile away?
Looks like 59 from prayer orb attack a 40 from auto and 10 from clicking overload
the 10 is the falling crystal one square away i think but yeah you’re right with the other 2
Doesnt look like its procced an explosion yet
when you stand up too fast
Stood on an egg and then some.
Multiple bombs combo with auto, or even an auto + bomb + overload
Probably something like portals, fire walls, and prayer orb or something off prayer.
it make me upset
Just think once before you speak please

explain yourself
Pleae
The tick is better used praying range
[deleted]
the orb that turned his prayer off and he didnt pray against that hit him a 59 lol
Or the 40, whichever it was
Just angler bro 110 dmg vs 122 hp ez math
Explain yourself!
yeah. The trick is to keep your health above zero.
i can do it
skill issue

You can actually bury those bones that some monsters drop, eventually you’ll get these “protection prayers” that might be useful. Hope that helps xo
It is at 119 HP yes
I don't think you can tick eat olm attacks, but I'm just going off the wiki so I could be wrong!
Your able to tick eat the autos you just can’t react pray them
itll buff right out mate
I could be completely incorrect and misremembering how tick eating works, but I believe so?

Lemme guess
Challenge mode + off prayer hit + flame wall + falling crystal?
Exactly that
God that's a lot of tile markers
[deleted]
yes you can lol you have to tik eat 1 tik earlier than normal, looks like he got hit by a prayer orb tho so that cant be tick ate
Someone can correct if I'm wrong, but i think that the early tick eat is only with the raids brews. Regular brews work as expected.
correct
[deleted]
No, you can definitely tick eat at Olm
[deleted]
That can happen in any place in the game
[deleted]
That is because you were late
[deleted]
It’s possible in the main game. it depends on how many sources of damage you take.
[deleted]
[deleted]
It’s the same for both
I bring purple sweets for speed Cms for this exact reason…
For tick eats? Makes no sense
prayer orb + fire + falling rock i believe
Yes you can
I'm not sure, normally I just move away from crystal bombs
Well instead of tick eating, maybe just run away from the bombs please
Yes, with a redemption proc
you shouldn't be caught in this situation.
you have an eye-sore amount of tile markers, use them
You're right! let me move over real quick
Why didn't you just do it perfect
you have done an excellent job of missing the point of the post
I also seem to have missed it. Is it not that OP made a mechanical mistake? Genuine question.
the post is questioning whether or not you can tick eat this combo of olm's attacks.
it isn't about dodging the attacks themselves or how they could've played better.
it definitely wasn't an invite to be a dickhead about OP's tile markers or to say "just play better lmao"
If OP is trying to use techniques like tick eating, wouldn't they be capable of avoiding the situation entirely?
This is mostly just a joke post lol. Referencing "I tick eat th ose"
Pleae no timerker
Idk, the ones with the long shaft extruding from the hand looks kinda nice
