The book says that all the superstates are the same, in the grip of oligarchical collectivism. How does Goldstein* know? Has he been there? Is he guessing? Spies?
Take it as an interpretation but for all we know Goldstein can just be a fabricated enemy that serves dual purpose: 1. Every totalitarian society needs somebody to blame for all evil (see history & present) 2. A perfect trap to catch thought criminals, those that still have hope that society can be "cured".
Anybody who actually wanted to get in touch with the "Brotherhood" would be eventually caught by members of the inner party who give away the slightest hint of impression they might have critical thoughts on BB. So they eventually spot glares from dissidents and send them straight to the spa, to relax their brains a bit.
Pushing aside the “Goldstein and his book are all made up” interpretation, he was as high up as Trotsky. As a former top government official, I would imagine he had access to:
-military intelligence
-Oceania's intelligence agencies
-Oceania's ambassadors
-other ambassadors
Not to mention the superstates didn't just appear out of no-where overnight.
They were Asian looking (we have always been at war with Eastasia) and there is more tea because of the collapse on the Malabar front. Obviously the three states could be just swapping their thought criminals around to maintain the fiction but it’s unlikely because all industries have to be focused on war production and war consumes everything you can supply, allowing no excess capacity for fripperies like blades for shaving.
If the states allying with each other has any basis in reality then it isn't inconceivable that the authors have actually visited these place during their allied period.
I doubt it has any basis bc if they did there would be a time where it’s Oceania vs the other 2. But conveniently it’s always Oceania and an ally vs. the enemy state.

I agree with this view point. We only have to look around us for manufactured enemies to bring people together against the ’other’.
Controlled opposition; they give the illusion of a resistance but it’s actually run by them to catch the defectors.

There isn’t even any proof the other states exist.
There are the random missiles and the prisoners being hanged.
False flags and thought criminals dressed up.

Theres no reason it wouldn't be. Each state is taken over a government of the same ideology
It's a good question, but how many fingers are we talking about?
THERE…ARE…FOUR …LIGHTS!
Okay... Nerd :D
Has anyone thought of writing the book?

It's because all three Inner Parties are very obviously one single organization.
