I mean, consider the alternative: getting so miffed about a VGA statue that you make your next triple-A title entirely with the mindset of outdoing some random indie studio's first big break. Incidentally, don't ask Todd Howard about what he thinks of CD Project Red.
I love skyrim, but hate how quests blend together so much I can't tell if it's a repeating radiant one or not. Same was with fallout.
I would love a little tag or something on quests to say "this will give a unique reward (not gold or a skill point)"
Like, when those "go kill something" quests end up having a unique item attached. Like that one lucky dagger in skyrim that occasionally does x3 damage making it potentially deal x48 damage on a sneak attack, making it one of the best sneak build items in the whole game, and it's from like, just clearing a cave out. Oh and crits always stun so if you use the attack speed shout, you stunlock literally anything.
Coldest take ever : I dislike when a single piece of media gets multiple awards at once. I can understand that it'd be unfair if something that clearly deserves two categories could only get one, but diversity of products is a strenght that is hidden by swoops. It can end up feeling like nothing else was good instead of the winner being great
But then you'd have "they only won because X couldn't win other awards". If you want it to be a show presenting a bunch of good games the nominations already do that, I think it hollows the award if you don't give it to the actual best game for the respective category.
I played until I got to the first boss (in Perkstein), then the story shifted a lot and is about forged gold coins or some shit, so I lost interest. Should I try to get back into it? What should I expect?
It’s actually costume available to give the different characters in the game. It’s called “Baguette” and you get it by hunting down and defeating evil mimes.
Source, please??? Literally the only info I can find on this is that Warhorse Studios banned homophobia and transphobia in their steam forums code of conduct, which is the opposite of what you’re claiming.
One of the founders was pretty pro gamergate. He accused progressives of trying to destroy the video games industry on Twitter. That was a long time ago, so I cant speak to the company or its founders current beliefs
Thats the post by warhorse founder Daniel Vavra from 2014. Theres a shit ton more like it from that era, dude was an antagonistic dick and he constantly flirted with the gamergate community.
Here is a video update on KCD 1 from around the same time where hes wearing a very cool shirt to own the SJWs.
I dont know his current politics and I dont know how he feels about trans folks. I played KCD 1 and thought it was great and I intend to buy kcd 2 on sale.
Edit: he also apparently doubt as to who won the 2020 US election and made a patreon mocking female journalists who got death threats. Just a class act fella through and through
Far as I can tell, "they" aren't, but the (i think) head writer is maga with all the weirdness that entails. Still a fantastic series, though. Guy worked on Mafia 1 before starting Warhorse, and that was a banger too. I guess it is possible to be maga and good at what you do, unlike Kevin Sorbo. 🤷🏾 I hope he gets better.
Game is quite gay however. Also dev said something transphobic in 2014 but now says he’s happy that it pisses people off by including a well written gay romance in a medieval game that goes heavily for historical accuracy

Had to check. It's real.

They are being really good sports about TGA

Are you saying that's what he did with Starfield? Because they would be very funny
Fallout 4, actually.
That is also very funny
That is hilarious because Fallout 4 suuuuuuucks
(The gunplay is actually really solid, but the RPG and story aspects are so bad that it diminishes everything else)

I mean, Warhorse was pretty much the same, their first game was KCD

I'd rather have that than another person tell me 1997 was a rather bad year for cinema.
a hollow award? that's an idea
I wonder what game it would go to
Expedition 33
Also, then they have to chose which of its wins it should take. Like, if you win best music and best art, which should they get?
yeah i do kind of agree with that. what’s the point of having so many categories if a single game can win NINE of them.
there were so many good games this year, shared the love a little bit. and this happens almost every year (though not to as much of an extent)
kcd1 my goat
I played until I got to the first boss (in Perkstein), then the story shifted a lot and is about forged gold coins or some shit, so I lost interest. Should I try to get back into it? What should I expect?
well the big reveal is yet to come, maybe you already know if you played kcd2, but it’s the “wow moment” of the entire game
so if you’re curious i would keep playing
British mindset
E33’s team coming on stage with berets was hella peak though lmao
It’s actually costume available to give the different characters in the game. It’s called “Baguette” and you get it by hunting down and defeating evil mimes.
This game is unapologetically French
it's so much french in fact that this not 1 caricature of french people, but 3 mixed in one
mon dieu why would you do that
Hey so uh, the dev is quite transphobic. I like the game and it's a great thing for my country, but the gay sub could not post it. Thanks!

First non-pinned post on his profile.
I didnt claim he was transphobic?
Didn't see the username switch mb.
No worries!
It's not trans related but, KCD2 has an extremely well written homosexual romance option so I'd be surprised if they actually are

worst news ive heard all year
One Dev said something transphobic in like 2014 is all I’ve seen on this
Kingdom Come or the other one?
Which dev?
You btw
