Same, it's god awful in so many ways. I'm in San Antonio at least... I guess 🙄 I am not trans but I am a woman and 100% an ally. I really hope things get better and do my part where I can, but I'm not optimistic...
It's gotta be rough for her to read every single anti-trans bill while iirc she is living in Montana as a trans woman with her trans wife, both in the public eye as a journalist and a state representative respectively, and to have to keep watching rights get removed as their jobs. She's certainly gotten used to it, but I cannot envy her position.
I support her Substack because I really value her reporting, but I had to turn off email notifications for my own mental health. Massive props to them both for putting up with all of this to help the rest of us.
We might be ass on everything that isn't social issues.. and not affordable enough for most trans folk to reasonably move here.. but I hope that everyone can get themselves to a blue state, at least for now. Stay strong friends, we'll win this fight one day
I’m not trans but I know a lot of trans people who live in North Carolina who are, from what I’ve seen in my small town and at Nc state, the amount of decent people is far higher than those who are hateful, we have pride parades and blm rallies within walking distance of confederate flags and the people who are getting harassed are the ones who put up those flags, while our state is not great I think progress is winning
This post will now replace the map we pinned before the elections.
got worse :(
sadly it's going to get even worse before it gets better
but it will get better
Keep fighting
Nah man were cooked, and if we're not I most certainly am. But oh well fml. :3
Another win for the #WestCoastBestCoast.
proud washington resident...we just keep winning
only three states on the west coast are labelled in blue but eight states on the east coast are so like wtf are you talking about
probably because it's all 3 west coast states
the east coast also has motherfuckin' Florida

I think Texas is a weird one where it almost needs it’s own map because some areas are more safe than others
